Teen STAR Instructor training sessions are aimed toward adults who want to better communicate on the subject of sexuality with children, adolescents, or young adults.
- TeenSTAR™ training sessions include 35 hours of Instruction and individual/group activities.
- Sessions provide the basic educational tools which enable an Instructor to lead a group of young people.
- Instructor training is provided by dedicated teams, trained and approved by TeenSTAR™ USA, selected for their skills and experience in teaching TeenSTAR™ to young people. Certain theoretical contributions are provided by professionals in the field concerned.
The training is an enriching time from the point of view of the content and the fellowship experienced which allows participants to exchange their knowledge and experiences with other people that have the same desire to help your young people to grow into mature adults.

Instructor Certification Process
Phase II - In-person formatA 2 day in-person workshop which includes presentations, individual and group activities with introduction of the Units of our Manuals aimed at guiding the future Instructor toward activities and ways in which to teach Teen STAR™.
Dates and time will depend on demand and locations. These are usually scheduled in 2 consecutive days from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Please note: Teen STAR is a "relational" program and we will always give preference to the face-to-face workshops. Full Certification to teach Teen STAR depends on this in-person training. Cost: $150 *$50 for returning Instructors that would like to take a refresher ** Group discounts available The minimum required for a group is 8 participants. |
Phase I - Online FormatAn Online Course may combines "live" meetings on ZOOM with asynchronous activities to be completed on CANVAS.
Typically, the groups watches videos or attends "live" sessions once or twice a week to Address the "Background Information" of the Instructor Training. Topics such as Anatomy & Physiology, Fertility, Hormones, the Adolescent Brain are presented and discussed. Cost: $150 *$50 for returning Instructors that would like to take a refresher **Group discounts available. The minimum required for a group is 8 participants. |
Phase IIIFor those who have completed Phase I, this phase provides the new Instructor with the "accompaniment" that is needed for the full implementation of Teen STAR. The Teen STAR office and experienced Instructors continue to support and provide guidance and best practices to those that want to complete their Instructor Certification.
